Vanguard Masonry is a bricklaying contractor based at Dunston, Stafford. We deliver managed brickwork packages across Staffordshire and the surrounding area: brick outer skins for timber frame houses, commercial buildings such as care homes and retail units, substructure brickwork for groundworkers, bespoke one-off houses, and maintenance and insurance works.
Brickwork Packages Across Staffordshire and Beyond
From our office at Dunston, just off junction 13 of the M6, we run brickwork packages for housebuilders, main contractors, groundworkers and clients building one-off homes across Staffordshire and the towns around it: Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stone, Cannock, Rugeley, Lichfield, Tamworth, Uttoxeter, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Telford.
Beyond Staffordshire, the same teams work across the West and East Midlands, Cheshire and the North West, from Birmingham and Derby to Crewe, Chester and Manchester.
Every package is managed. A named supervisor plans labour against your programme, keeps daily site logs and records quality checks as the work goes up. On housing, plots are handed over ready for NHBC or LABC inspection. On commercial and repair work, we build to the project specification and close out snags before we leave.
We have 100 bricklayers, we’ve traded since 2018, and we hold CHAS Advanced and Constructionline Gold. That means we’re easy to approve onto your supply chain, and we can add gangs when the programme needs them.

What We Do

TIMBER FRAME HOUSES
The brick outer skin to timber frame homes, sequenced behind the frame erector and tied back to the frame as the design requires.
COMMERCIAL BRICKWORK
Care homes, retail units, schools and other non-housing buildings, with a named supervisor and reporting set up for main contractors.
SUBSTRUCTURE FOR GROUNDWORKERS
Brickwork and blockwork up to DPC, priced as a standalone package and worked to your groundworks sequence.
BESPOKE ONE-OFF HOUSES
Individual homes where the detailing and the finish matter, built by a supervised gang from start to finish.
MAINTENANCE & INSURANCE WORKS
Repairs, re-pointing and rebuilds of damaged brickwork, including storm or impact damage, for contractors and property owners.
